Another mega-church leader (and head of the US National Association of Evangelicals) falls on his own hypocrisy. Of course, the problem isn't that he's gay - except that the sheer violence of his anti-gay lobbying seems a bit out of step with his actual behaviour. His mega-church movement helped get Bush into power and are hard-line extremists.

Mexican migrant workers apply to join Canadian union UFCW/TUAC: Workers seek say in contract imposed by Mexican and Canadian governments

TORONTO, September 20, 2006 - In a historical breakthrough that could eventually impact thousands of migrant agricultural workers brought each season to Canada, Mexican migrant workers at three farms in Québec and one farm in Manitoba have applied to go union with UFCW Canada (known as TUAC Canada in Québec).

Carbon trading used to justify nuclear industry

Even Ralph Klein knows nukes are not an option. Yet we get this industry deception passed off as news.

"It's an alternative to any fossil fuel. If you've basically got to run an industrial economy, you need base-load power and nuclear is the only non-emitting choice you've got other than a large hydro facility."
